Since we gave a shoutout to a special someone last time, we thought we’d keep momentum and give one to a special something for this weeks post. This place, and the people who work there, is most deserving of a little spotlight. Allow me to introduce Louisville’s Habitat for Humanity Restore!

We love them! Whether you’re looking to downsize, build or simply find some “new to you” furniture, here’s everything you need to know before you go:

Who: This is threefold, but the answer is the same. Who can donate items? Anyone. Who can purchase items? Anyone. Who can benefit from this awesome place? Anyone!

Jan VanZant is our contact and she is a total gem! She is the best at customer/donor relations so reach her at 502.533.9277.

What: Antiques, appliances, art and home decor, bathroom vanities, building materials, cabinets, doors and windows, electrical items and electronics, flooring, furniture, hardware, landscape items, lighting and fans, office furniture, outdoor materials, paint/painting supplies, tools, tubs and showers, and more! You’re asking yourself, “How could there possibly be more?” You never know what you’ll find at an insanely affordable price at the Restore!

Where/When: With three locations, you’re never “too far” to visit them. PLUS, if you would like to donate items, the Restore will come and pick up your donations with a tax write-off for you! We’ve used them multiple times at renovations or stagings!

Why: This is the most important “W.” The mission (from their website) answers that question better than we could. “Money raised by ReStore supports Habitat for Humanity of Metro Louisville in its mission of creating affordable home ownership opportunities.  Habitat ReStore strives to provide quality merchandise at excellent values to our customers. This saves tons of perfectly good materials from going into our landfill.”

100% off the profits are donated directly to Habitat for Humanity. If you’re not familiar with HFH, check out their website here: Anything you don’t have use for anymore (in good condition, of course), could go to make someone else’s home more beautiful and save our landfills from being overcrowded. It really doesn’t get much better than that!

We’re thankful to partner with them and hope you’ll support their mission as well. Thanks in advance for giving back to this wonderful community we call home!

Happy Friday!
